Recommended by SimpleLab™ for specialized advanced analysis for 25 PFAS compounds (including GenX). These compounds are increasingly prevalent in the environment and are notorious for bioaccumulation in animal and human body tissues. GenX–also known by its chemical compound name Hexafluoropropylene Oxide Dimer Acid (HFPO-DA)–has gained attention in recent years, along with other related-PFAS compounds, after the widely reported chemical spill at the Chemours Fayetteville Works in North Carolina.

While many industries have voluntarily stopped use of PFAS compounds, the stability and persistence of these compounds makes them a lifetime concern–as even extremely low levels have been shown to have deleterious human health effects and can bioaccumulate over time. .

This SimpleLab water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed, quantified analysis of 25 PFAS compounds by EPA Method 533 (or equivalent) down to concentrations below 2 parts per trillion (PPT).

Testing includes: 11-Chloroeicosafluoro-3-oxaundecane-1-sulfonic acid ; 4,8-dioxa-3H-perfluorononanoic acid ; 4:2 Fluorotelomer sulfonic acid ; 6:2 Fluorotelomer sulfonic acid ; 8:2 Fluorotelomer sulfonic acid ; 9-Chlorohexadecafluoro-3-oxanonane-1-sulfonic acid ; GenX ; Perfluoro(2-ethoxyethane)sulfonic acid ; Perfluoro-3,6-dioxaheptanoic acid ; Perfluoro-4-oxapentanoic acid ; Perfluoro-5-oxahexanoic acid ; Perfluorobutane sulfonate ; Perfluorobutanoic acid ; Perfluorodecanoic acid ; Perfluorododecanoic acid ; Perfluoroheptanesulfonic acid ; Perfluoroheptanoic acid ; Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid ; Perfluorohexanoic acid ; Perfluorononanoic acid ; Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid ; Perfluorooctanoic acid ; Perfluoropentanesulfonic acid ; Perfluoropentanoic acid ; Perfluoroundecanoic acid.
