By offering certified and university lead laboratory testing, along with personalized fertilizer advice, the Tap Score Home Soil Test will analyze your lawn, garden, and potted plant soils for key nutrients and health characteristics.
Each package includes testing material for one (1) soil sample and will give you numerical results for vital macro and micro plant nutrients, including but not limited to: Total Nitrogen, nitrate (NO3-N), ammonium (NH4-N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sulfur (S), sodium (Na), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), boron (B) and aluminum (Al) and more.

How do we measure soil health?
Tap Score’s Professional Home Soil Test includes laboratory analysis for the following minerals, nutrients, and growth factors: pH, electrical conductivity (salts), organic matter, nitrate, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese, boron, lime, and soil textures.
Indicates your soil’s acidity or alkalinity on a scale of 0 to 14.
Electrical conductivity (soluble salts)
Different plants vary widely in their tolerance to soluble salts. Therefore, the values reported for your plants are interpreted in relative terms.
Soil Organic Matter (SOM)
The amount of plant and animal residue present in your soil is known as the Soil Organic Matter (SOM). This is reported as percent of total soil.
Nitrate as Nitrogen (NO3-N)
Nitrate is critical to plant growth and production. The nitrate measured is soluble and readily available for your plants to uptake as fertilizer.
Phosphorus, Potassium, and Nitrogen, Calcium, Magnesium
Zinc, Iron, Copper, Manganese
Lime is measured in the laboratory as calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Lime effects pH, is often a critical source of calcium and magnesium, improves water flow in soil, and supports the uptake of critical plant nutrients.
