Lead Water Test (AB 2370)
Recommended for targeted testing of lead in drinking water to meet Assembly Bill 2370 (AB 2370) compliance requirements at California child care centers. This test is run by EPA method 200.8 at a CA-ELAP accredited laboratory and results must be submitted to the State Water Resources Control Board.
The following locations at each facility must be tested:
-
All cold water faucets and fountains
-
The cold water side of all single-handled and dual-handled faucets that dispense both hot and cold water
-
Filtered water dispensers
-
Water dispensed by refrigerators
Each testing package will be suitable for collecting one sample at a single tap. In order to test multiple taps/faucets/fountains, requires multiple packages. IMPORTANT: This testing will need to be done by a “certified external water sampler” in order to meet compliance requirements.
