What are Nitrates?
Nitrates reduce the ability of your red blood cells to carry oxygen, and are especially toxic (even in low concentrations) to newborns younger than 12 months. Nitrates in drinking water are known to cause an illness called methemoglobinemia or “blue baby syndrome". Nitrate related bacteria are known to form and destroy nitrates in drinking water.
We only offer premium self-testing kits when they can deliver what they promise. For a high resolution water test for nitrate, see our laboratory testing package.
