Nitrate Related Bacteria
Ideal for families with infants and pregnant mothers and especially those living in close proximity to agricultural activity. Nitrates reduce the ability of your red blood cells to carry oxygen, and are especially toxic (even in low concentrations) to newborns younger than 12 months. Nitrates in drinking water are known to cause an illness called methemoglobinemia or “blue baby syndrome". Nitrate related bacteria are known to form and destroy nitrates in drinking water. If you want a high resolution water test for nitrate, click here for the laboratory testing package.
This add-on includes two self-tests for both nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria.
