What you get
▾When testing is complete, you will receive a Tap Score Water Quality Report including a comprehensive analysis of all test results, health impacts, treatment options, and household water appliance risks. If all you want is the raw result data, we can do that too. This mini-tour highlights some of what makes Tap Score unique. Click here for a full example report.
Executive summary
Understand the meaning of your results in one quick glance. Can you rest easy or is there something to be concerned about?
Health analysis
The report summarizes the most trustworthy research available on the potential health effects of each contaminant detected.
What's that smell?
The potential sources of any strange tastes, colors, or smells in your water are also analyzed.
What to do next
If you need it, our legendary treatment support team makes unbiased recommendations for the products that can treat the contaminants found in your water. In this example, the test results showed high arsenic, lead, and sodium from a salt-based softener.
How it works
▾
Testing packages include sterilized water sampling vial(s), cold pack (where applicable), return shipping, testing instructions, sample information card, and padding for the contents.
Please note that unless otherwise specified, each product is intended for a single sampling location.
Once the lab receives your box, your personalized Tap Score Report will arrive by email within 12 business days.
Bacteria and other add-ons

Some things can be reliably tested at home. Tap Score customers can include any of these high quality self-testing kits inside their Tap Score package.
Informational testing
▾By default, this broad-based chemical and biological water quality screening package is designed to provide you with general information about your water for personal use. Each report includes analysis for specific numerical concentration levels of each contaminant and details about the potential sources and health effects associated with each parameter. We are not medical doctors and Tap Score does not provide medical advice. For medical concerns always consult your doctor. As an informational water quality test, this package is not meant for state or federal compliance water testing. If you or your organization requires compliance with State or Federal Law, or compliance with a particular regulatory requirement then you must contact our support team and we will use the appropriate certified laboratory facilities to ensure your compliance testing requirements are met.
