Tannins Water Test
This is a laboratory water test to analyze your sample for tannins. This test is a very common add-on among well owners and especially those seeing yellow-ish color or experiencing musty tasting water.
Yellow colored water is often the result of high tannin levels.
Tannins are a naturally formed organic material also commonly described as fulvic or humic acids. They are formed when vegetation is degraded and fermented and then enters your water supply.
Tannins often impart a tea-like color to your water and can lead to the yellow staining of fabrics, fixtures, china and laundry. Tannins may also cause an unpleasant, tart or musty aftertaste in your drinking water. They may also cause water to have a musty or earthy odor.
