Extended Well Water Test

Recommended by SimpleLab™ as the most comprehensive water quality testing panel for any home, building, or facility served by a private well or spring. Ideal for new wells or water sources that are treated and/or located in radon risk zones or otherwise near agricultural, industrial, and/or oil and gas activity.

This Tap Score test package, endorsed by the US Water Systems Council, provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a water sample for certified laboratory testing. The results will include detailed analysis of common water health concerns related to natural water chemistry, nearby human activity, and on-premise plumbing. In addition to all Advanced Well Water Test chemistry, the Extended Well Water Test includes analysis of tannins, radon, radioactive particles, heterotrophic bacteria, pesticides, plasticizers, and other common industrial and agricultural contaminants.

Lab testing includes: Heavy metals, minerals, general chemistry, silica, coliform and E. coli, volatile organic compounds, trihalomethanes, disinfection byproducts, tannins, radon, radioactive particles, heterotrophic bacteria, semi-volatile organic compounds.
Report analysis includes: Health hazards, plumbing risks, taste, odor, and appearance issues.

Executive summary

Understand the meaning of your results in one quick glance. Can you rest easy or is there something to be concerned about?

Health analysis

The report summarizes the most trustworthy research available on the potential health effects of each contaminant detected.

What's that smell?

The potential sources of any strange tastes, colors, or smells in your water are also analyzed.

What to do next

If you need it, our legendary treatment support team makes unbiased recommendations for the products that can treat the contaminants found in your water. In this example, the test results showed high arsenic, lead, and sodium from a salt-based softener.

Pipes and plumbing

Whether or not something is in your water that can affect your health, we let you know if your pipes and appliances are also in the clear.

Who is this for?

This package is designed for customers who:

  • Are served by a private or shared well.
  • Have a septic tank near the well or other source of potential bacterial contamination
  • Are concerned about runoff from agricultural activity.
  • Have young children or other vulnerable individuals in their home.
  • Are treating their own well water.
  • Are concerned about contamination from oil and gas operations.
  • Want to test for radiation related to a variety of sources.
  • Are concerned about pesticides.
  • Want to check silica and tannins levels to optimize treatment.

Some things can be reliably tested at home. Tap Score customers can include any of these high quality self-testing kits inside their Tap Score package.

Informational testing

By default, this broad-based chemical and biological water quality screening package is designed to provide you with general information about your water for personal use. Each report includes analysis for specific numerical concentration levels of each contaminant and details about the potential sources and health effects associated with each parameter. We are not medical doctors and Tap Score does not provide medical advice. For medical concerns always consult your doctor. As an informational water quality test, this package is not meant for state or federal compliance water testing. If you or your organization requires compliance with State or Federal Law, or compliance with a particular regulatory requirement then you must contact our support team and we will use the appropriate certified laboratory facilities to ensure your compliance testing requirements are met.
