Advanced Bottled Water Test
Recommended by SimpleLab™ for assessing bottled water quality.
Although it depends on the company, bottled water is not always inherently safer than tap water and there are numerous other drawbacks, including cost and sustainability. As the Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) notes, bottled water is tested for bacteria and many synthetic organic chemicals far less often than tap water.
This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed analysis of common bottled water health concerns related to natural water chemistry and associated risks from storage containers (ie. plastic bottles)–such as heavy metals, minerals, hardness, and volatile organic compounds (related to plastic leaching).
Testing includes: Heavy metals, minerals, general chemistry, trihalomethanes, disinfection byproducts, volatile organic compounds.
Report analysis includes: Health-risk assessment, aesthetic issues (taste, odor, appearance), comparison to any regulatory limits and/or public health guidelines, and unbiased treatment recommendations.
