Arsenic Speciation Water Test
Recommended by SimpleLab™ for targeted arsenic speciation testing to determine the oxidative state of arsenic in drinking water. This package is recommended for clients who have a confirmed total arsenic result above ~6 PPB (parts per billion). Removing arsenic from drinking water with a home treatment system requires determining whether the arsenic contamination is in the 3rd or 5th oxidation state. Arsenic III (also known as arsenite) is uncharged and difficult to remove with most treatment technologies. Arsenic V (also known as arsenate) is easier to remove. Knowing the form of arsenic in water can help you choose an effective treatment device.
This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed, quantified analysis of arsenic III and arsenic V concentrations.
Testing includes: Arsenic III and arsenic V.
Report analysis includes: Health-risk assessment, potential plumbing and aesthetic issues (taste, odor, appearance), comparison to regulatory limits and/or public health guidelines, and unbiased treatment recommendations.
